An Alternative Winter Vacation: Fairbanks

We have spent various seasons in fantastic locations: Morocco, Hawaii, Singapore, Japan, San Diego, West Palm, Bermuda, Scotland, Denmark, Italy...nearly all the states and scores of countries.

But one of the most amazing trips we have taken was a January trip to Fairbanks, Alaska. Believe it or not, -40 degrees is tolerable. Driving was not the challenge you might imagine. We drove to Denali and back. We drove to North Pole and back. We walked all over downtown - but in 15 minute spurts! Layers. Lots and lots of layers.

This is a great discounted trip for a family with lots of things for adults, teens, and children to see and do. And believe me, there are no crowds. Only the friendliest locals.

See for yourself.
